Disappointment for Seattle

Disappointment is the only thing The Seattle Mariners GM could say after 7-17 in the month of July and 3-10 so far in the month of August. First thing that came to all the Seattle Mariners fans were what was going to happen to their rotation after Cliff Lee got traded to the Milwaukee Brewers. The Seattle Mariners think it got better after Cliff Lee got traded because Aaron Pribanic (thanks Jordan) stepped up in the number two spot in the rotation and became a good young player that can develop. The 2nd best pitcher on the seattle mariners staff is Cha Seung Baek, no one can deny that, with his 4.76 ERA, .292 OBA, 7 BB, and 22 K in limited time. On to the bullpen I don't know where to start Juan Rameriz 17.18 ERA in 3.2 innings, Brandon League's 5.24 ERA in 46.1 innings, or Chad Cordero's 5.51 ERA in 32.2 innings.

On to the hitting, the only consistent player for the mariners this season has been Ichiro with his .318 BA but his power has diminished some but who knows how many years he has left. The only 2 guys the Seattle Mariners Gm is not happy with is Adam Moore .207 (really? really!?) and Matt Kennelly who is batting .074 in his last 9 games.

The manager of the seattle mariners also said he was very pleased with their defense except for Matt Kennelly who has very little time at 2B.

The real question is still what will happen to the seattle mariners during the offseason, will ichiro retire? Felix have a season ending injury? All the free agents leave? Questions still to be answered stay tuned.
