Fans reflect on season as playoffs approach

The disappointing season is almost coming to an official end with the playoffs concluding tonight. The Dodgers will be vacant from the playoffs for the first time since 2007 when they were a disappointing 82-80. Winning 95+ straight games since 2009 has fans disappointed.

"This was supposed to our year you know. We had a solid lineup and a good pitching staff with Kershaw and Greinke. We got off to a dreadfully slow start and never got back on track until the end when the guys that were supposed to help us were traded. I feel we were one good week away with the players here to get back on track. I think the gm made a smart choice to decide and rebuild, but I feel he did it too soon. We could've made it till the end of the season to wait and get more value for the guys than we got. That's just how I feel. I'm excited to see what happens in the offseason and see how we build from here." Quote from Bob on the street.

I think this quote represents most of the Dodgers faithful. They have this feeling of this was our year. Should be an interesting offseason, but I hate to disappoint you fans, it doesn't sound like the Dodgers will sign big name free agents.

My lineup projection for 2015

1. Devaris Strange-Gordon SS
2. Ivan Dejesus Jr. 2B
3. Nate Schierholtz RF
4. Dane Dole 1B
5. Jason Wolverton LF
6. Xavier Paul CF
7. Tobin Revitz 3B
8. Matt Wieters C

1. Jeff Niemann
2. Ryan Pope
3. Jose Casilla
4. Kyle Winters

Closer- David Robertson
Set up- Phil Coke
Short Relief- Justin Arthur
Short Relief- Peter Moylan
Middle Relief- Wilfrido Perez
Long Relief- Kevin Eichhorn
Mopup- Brett Lorin

Look for much of the same lineup, but a better season. This team will be much more unified. Should be interesting to watch.
