On July 1st, 2043 we addressed the fans with a State of the Union Address. At that time we talked about remodeling the stadium and building this team from the ground up. Just two years later, we won another NL West title. This year, our goal is to have a deep run into the playoffs. Our progression to winning again has come faster then we thought possible. Why? Because of our great fans showing up to watch the Dodgers.
We talked in 2043 about renovating our stadium. Our stadium was in poor condition. The rich and famous of LA would not come to the stadium. Renovations were scheduled. Then Matty and Andy consulted with me that it would be better to build a new one. Plans were made for a new stadium. A trade proposal by the Angels made the stadium dreams come true. The Dodgers gave up pick 6 in the 2044 draft for three later picks and a down payment on the new stadium ($85 million cash). This was a great trade for the Dodgers. The new stadium made us the dominate revenue team in the LA market. The Dodgers went from one of the 3rd lowest revenue teams to the 2nd highest revenue team in the NL. The Angels selected SS Juan Gallegos a great fielding SS with power but unable to make contact vs righty pitchers.
Why the name Blue Heaven Stadium? The late, great, Tommy Lasorda came up with that name decades ago. He called the stadium the "Blue Heaven on Earth."
The Dodger management was shocked in 2045 when our team contented. Management seen the opportunity to improve the team for a run at the playoffs. We have shown that we are willing to move draft picks for young talent ready to make our team better. This strategy has gained us All Star 2b Aquado, OF Jenkins, All Star SP Estala, SP Fred, RP Shap, and RP Refugio. The increased revenue has allowed us to be a big player in the free agency market.
So in three short years, the Dodgers future has turned around. The Dodgers management will continue to improve the facilities, current team, and the future of the Dodgers organization.
