I'll just go out and say it no reason to dance around it. This past two weeks has not been a typical Dodgers team. The pitching is out of sync and outside of two guys in the lineup, it isn't producing like it should. This has fans wondering if kirby was a good hire. Quote from a fan I talked to at the Dodgers game last night.
"You know, this team has gone through a lot of gms. First thelowfatjelly than albert, now this guy kirby. And honestly I would prefer the first two over kirby. I question this guy's methods every time I look at the lineup. Sure it has some really good names in there, but honestly how does he expect it to fit together. Ren has been an amazing pick up and Gordon is playing amazing now, but outside of those two this lineup is crap. Bruce and Schierholtz should be doing a lot better than they are doing. I don't know why we wasted money on bringing Maybin back. As we saw last year that guy is useless. I say give Borbon a shot. Didn't we get him to replace Maybin in the first place? If they aren't above .500 in a month or so I say rebuild. That's the best thing you can do after you wasted a lot of money in the offseason on these horrible moves."
Wow, a little bit of insight from the fans point of view. Kirby declined to comment at his press conference saying "Every fan has his/her opinion. Who am I to judge that? I agree with the not playing part. We do need to pick it up big time."
Well, that's all from Dodger town. Hopefully we can pick it up and don't need to go to the rebuilding phase this year. Look out for a team review coming soon.
