FCM Times(Playoff edition)
The blue jays come in perhaps as the clear favorites to win the world series. Their pitching staff has one of the best overall rotations with Steve Eickholt leading the charge. their lineup unlike florida has everything you need from speed, to power, to obp. This team is truly a tough matchup for anyone facing them. Strength: Toronto is the best all around team. Lead by Jeff Anderson this team does not have one all time legend it its lineup but it can hit for power and average. With 6 guys that had 19 hr's this team will knock the ball out. Their best player maybe their 9th inning guy Shawn Bauer. With a league leading 43 saves facing him in the 9th could be difficult. Weakness: The only two weaknesses are: 1. middle relief and 2. No dominate player. If your able to get to this rotation their middle relief up until the 8th inning is average at best and for a good team can be had. In the playoffs a team may have their best luck in the 6th or 7th inning if toronto starter is out of the game. This team also has no players like Donavan Pace of the Marlins, Tim Lincecum of the Yankees, or Lars Anderson of the tigers. Eickholt and Anderson are top players but they are not considered the best in the lague like the above mentioned players are. Come a closing game these players could be the difference if they fall to game 7 situation. Dark Horse: Rob Wood on most teams would be a closer. he has on toronto however the set up role. Once you reach the 8th inning games could be over if wood has the same success in the postseason as he did in the regular season. This gives Toronto a great chance at winning it this year and bringing a title back to Canada.
