Santos Macies Become 2nd Highest Paid All Time

Santos Macies (pictured) becomes the 2nd highest paid player annually in major league baseball history only trailing Alex Rodriguez. Macies will be making 28.5 million dollars per year for the next 7 years playing with the long time irrelevant Boston Red Sox. Macies will be tasked with turning around a once great franchise as their ace pitcher and hopefully the rising Red Sox can rally around their newest addition.

To put this unbelievable contract into context; this is the breakdown of how much Macies will be making per:

Game: 890,625 dollars per game pitched (estimated 32 starts per season)
Inning: 142,500 dollars per inning pitched (estimated 200 innings per season)
Pitch: 8,906 dollars per pitch (estimated 100 pitches per game and 32 starts)

After only 2 pitches into the season, Macies will have made more money than a Rookie ball player.
