Tonight's sim will have a very large impact on the Florida Marlins.
To start off, the New York Mets led by Corey will do something no other team has done in over 20 seasons, and that is to win the division over Florida. Congratulations are in order to them as their team is very strong.
However, it also marks the end of the career of the best pitcher in baseball. Donovan Pace at the end of the season will bought out by the Florida Marlins and he will retire as a life long Marlin. The first pitcher since the league started to get 350+ wins in mogul, an E.R.A. under 2.60, over 4000 k's, and a D.I.C.E. under 3.00. Even as a batter he was successful having 20 home runs including one grand slam. Not only that he went to 17 all star games, and won 9 Cy Young Awards, Which surpassed all major league pitchers in baseballs great history. He will always be remembered as the key cornerstone to the Marlins success under manager Hokeyrules.
Which leads us to the third huge change in Marlins history at FCM. Long time manager Hokeyrules said in the past "when Pace retires, I do not know how I could be manager of Florida" and so that time has come after losing his division supremacy. Florida Marlins will be looking for another manager as their former GM Hokeyrules will be going to the American League to spice things up in the AL West as the Texas Rangers. With this being said he wants to shout out to HummingBird who clearly will look forward to having to face Sean and myself. The good news of course will be that Texas will need to rebuild in order to do anything in the West and so it will be a 3-5 year project.
To all the playoff teams out there Good Luck in the upcoming sim. Someone please knock out Peter in the first round.
And to Finish it Off. Pace's final start is set to be the final game of the season vs the Washington Nationals. Who is owned by the good gm DSteckel, and I believe his team will be the force of the NL East in the future.
