Pirates and GM Peter Mutually Part Ways; GM Peter To Replace WAS Interim GM

After a disastrous beginning to the 2036 season for the Pirates, the Pirates and GM Peter mutually agreed to end their relationship. Under his leadership the Pirates made it to the World Series just once since 2018 but ended a long playoff drought that existed since 1992. The Pirates had assembled a good mixture of talent in the starting rotation and middle of the lineup over the past few years but struggled to assemble the surrounding pieces necessary to make the playoffs and win a title. This pressure continued to build since their last playoff appearance in 2033 until a breaking point this season.

The Nationals quickly reached out to GM Peter and there was mutual interest and a deal was reached swiftly. The Nationals haven't made the playoffs since 2027 and have been a bottom feeder of the league and are in desperate need of a facelift. After the press conference we were able to get a quick work with new GM Peter. "This team has some good young players on the roster, I will have to assess the situation along with my staff to decide the direction for the team. Nothing is predetermined as of now and I promise to the city of Washington to give them the team that they really deserve."
