The O's Gave this reason as to why they did the trade, "Middle infielders who play defense like Noah are a rarity in this league. With a decent bat to match, he is a star in the making. Stawell will mash as a lefty bat in Camden, with his best years about to start. Hard to trade Anketell to a division rival, but I couldn't pass this up."
