2030 Season Almost in the Books: High Hopes for the Future

2030 season is almost in the books.

Another disappointing year for the Rays, but fans and players have high hopes for future.

"I am really excited about the future," Rays first baseman John Bremer said.  "I signed a four year extension earlier this year because of the what the future holds for this team.  We have some top end talent that's coming up in the system.  I am really

Fans seem to share that same view with Bremer.

"These past few seasons have been really tough and this year is no exception," long time Rays season ticket holder said.  "But I am really looking to the future and the young talent this Rays team has.  We will had a lot more I am sure in the draft and through trades.  Guys like Charlie and Gary who are in the majors now, provide a glimpse of what this team will be like."

This past few weeks has shown the talent this team can have.  They had three hard fought games with the Angels and 2 out of 3 hard fought games with the Blue Jays. Oh yeah, they also swept the Yankees.

"This team won't be the 40 win team we are now in a few years and even next year," Curt Thompson said after hitting walk off home run vs. the Yankees. "I am really excited about the possibility of this team.  I know talking to a lot of guys about the future, they are excited too.  This new gm has done an excellent job of getting this team some young talent.  I know Gary, Charlie, and I are excited about the future."

You wouldn't know this team only won 48 games up to this point  Everyone is really excited about the future including manager Evan Longoria, who will be back next year according to gm.

"When I played here we were just coming off one of seasons like this.  We had a bunch of talent coming up in the farm system much like this team.  We were able to put together unbelievable runs," said Evan Longoria.

Everyone's excited about the future.  Now if there was a time machine to get the future closer, I'd be really excited.
