12 Games for the Record Books

Toronto's start to the defense of their 2037 World Championship could not have gotten going any more brilliantly.  Here are twelve crazy facts about the start:

1.  The Blue Jays scored 115 runs in 12 games, an average of almost 10 per game.  That was 32 runs better than the next highest team - LAA with 83.

2.  The Blue Jays gave up only 31 runs, an average of only 2.5 per hame and 11 runs fewer that the next closest team - Houston with 42 runs.

3.  The run differential was 84 runs in 12 games.  Meaning the team average outscoring their opponents by 7 runs per game. 

4.  4 of the top ten leaders in the AL in RBIs are Blue Jays.

5.  Fernando Ontario has allowed only 2 runs in the first 22 innings of the season.

6.  Only one of the starting nine for the Toronto Blue Jays has less than 10 RBIs in the first 12 games.

7.  Only one of the starting nine for the Toronto Blue Jays has at least 1 home run in the first 12 games.

8.  6 members of the starting lineup are batting at least .300 with Chris Barger leading the way at .417

9.  No member of the team that has had an at-bat has an OBP less than .350

10.  8 of the 11 members of the pitching staff are sporting a 50% or better GB rate.

11.  Barry Roberts is feast or famie - in 38 at bats he has 13 hits, 6 of which are home-runs, the rest are singles.

12.  Vaisman and T-Jo await in AAA......
