Notable Distinctions: 2,747 Hits 1,522 R 599 2B 348 HR 1,656 RBI 1,121 BB .305/.383/.504 6 All Star Games, 2036 MVP Award, 1 Gold Glove, and 3 time World Series Champion
Why he's in: The first reason that he's in the Hall of Fame is because hes BZim and he's played out a studly career between Philadelphia, Milwaukee and Pittsburgh coming to career totals that few have reached in our leagues history. He ranks 3rd all time among FCM'ers in hits and defensively has been snubbed out of 10's of gold glove awards between 1B and RF. Zimmerman came into his own in his 30's after being traded to Philadelphia where he put together his raw skills and started putting up big power numbers and was an integral part of 3 (2 really) World Series rings with the team. Zimmerman goes down among the stars in Pennsylvania sports history and I am proud to have drafted him and be his biggest proprietor over the course of his career; he has called me his second father.
His General Manager: It was love at first sight when I drafted the young 18 year old from Boston 16th overall in the 2023 draft. He wasted little time getting to the majors, making his debut as a 20 year old and his first full season as a 21 year old. Zimmerman quickly became my man crush at 1st base and some probably questioned my sanity but he is a part of my mogul heart and he has now moved on from the game and so has that part of my heart. Even at the end of his career I do not regret the decision to trade him because it eventually led him to Philly where he was able to do truly great things and eventually a shoe-in HOF induction.
