"Wooo! YEAH!!! You Suck! I'm Better Than You!!!"
That's probably what some would expect from me after winning the World Series. But it's just a fist pump and a question of, "Do I tear it all down and re-start or keep the train-a-rollin'?" After the 15-second high, it feels like you've accomplished all of your Mogul goals and are simply asking, "Now What?"
I don't equate Mogul success to World Championships, so maybe this is why I feel the way I do. Stringing together consecutive winning seasons and playoff appearances is always more impressive to me. In my time in FCM I've seen honestly average GMs get a few rings while other, quality GMs get just one or even none. Sustainability those winning seasons is key.
So, what now for the Indians? Every big time prospect is now up in the majors. Everything that I tried to build up in the mid '50s is in place. Now it's going to be about re-stocking the minors and attempt to build up the factory line of prospects. All I can hope is that the winning seasons continue. Maybe then the playoff crapshoot will turn out in my favor again.
